An old pathway that lead up to the front door was ripped up, along with the lawn and shrubs. A tree was kept, which we will move into a more suitable position within our design. Some work had to be done on the pipes below.

Good momentum was flowing, whilst everyone worked together to transform the space. The porcelain slab pathway was the first thing to go down. Just laying that made a huge change. The low brick wall was kept, with a new timber screen fence to go above it. Some work was done to repair the wall, and holes were dug for the gate posts.

Whilst George and Will worked by the perimeter of the garden, Sam and Ben set to removing the old concrete around the edge of the house. This was broken away with a sledge hammer and breaker bar.

Whilst the waste was removed, timber posts were installed and the boys got to work creating the fence.

The new fence looks so slick and crisp, we are looking forward to seeing the gate added, which is on order and will be arriving soon. A few tonnes of soil was brought in to create the correct level next to the pathway. This is being covered with membrane, plants will be added, and topped with pebbles. A central circle has been edged, with a tree being planted in the middle.

Check back in with us next week to see this garden completed.
