They’ve done at fantastic job on the wall so far, and it really looks striking from the roadside. Not only does it look good, most importantly it is holding up the hillside behind it. If you’d like to know more about this part of the project click here to see our past post.
As this landscaping project is on a steep hill, all of the waste and materials are going up and down quite extreme steps, with other waste being lowered into a skip on the street below. For this project our landscaping team is working to tender on this contract for a third party garden designer. Ninety nine percent of our garden design is done in house, with occasional landscaping done on behalf of local garden designers.
As you can see, there has been a lot of digging out, in preparation for building this wall using reclaimed red bricks. The concrete blocks behind it offer extra support. The design makes this space interesting, with the higher area being a small patio with pergola, going down these steps to a lower, sunken area.
As the boys make headway with the higher section of this garden, around the corner, looking out onto the street, more attention will go towards the area that runs along the front door. This is an interesting design, as it wraps around the front to the side of the house. It’s going to be a lovely little haven when it is finished, we are sure of that.
The fence along the front of the garden will be replaced, with paving and planting being added too. Come back soon to see what is happening next on this project.
