Our team started off by ripping out the old paving, which was piled up and taken out to a skip in the street. Except the garden chalet, everything else is being removed. So the next step was to destroy and remove the old fence panels, which were rotting and flimsy.

The neighbour on the other side of this fence wanted to keep the ivy and other plants that were growing up the fence. So, we detached it from the top of the fence as we ripped it down. The fence the entire way around the garden, plus the back garden gate were all to be removed.

Jerry started by removing the screws in the panels with a drill, but the majority of the panels were held together with nails, so we used a crowbar to take those apart. As the fence panels started being removed, we could see the lattice framework of the ivy, which was very beautiful.

After all the recent rain, we had a lovely, sunny morning to work on this garden with the team, which made it more enjoyable.

The wood and green waste were taken out and loaded onto our truck.

Whilst the old fence was being taken out of the garden, a delivery with all the new timber and fence panels were delivered, ready to construct the replacement. Once the new fence has been installed, the ivy nextdoor can be reattached to it.
