Grey Limestone Paving and Sleeper Raised Border – The Garden Continues

We’ve had a good dry week and have been cracking on with different landscaping jobs across Bristol. The largest one at the moment being in Stoke Bishop where we are continued with finishing the grey limestone paving surrounding the back of the house and down the side of the house.

Previously the side of the house was just a muddy lane, so this is a pleasant change and looks really good. The team edged the paving with a raised sleeper border so that planting can be situated in front of the fence, softening the border of the property.

Once the back patio had been finished, it was then free for the scaffolding boys to move in to work on the house. A few of us enjoyed a nice afternoon in the sunshine pointing the paving. The finishing touches really make the difference.

Whilst the paving was being finished off we made a timber frame for a concrete bike shed base, and filled it with ready made concrete from our supplier Bowland Stone. We then built an Asgard bike shed on the base, which is going to be really hand for the family.

Come back and check out what we’re up to next week, we’ve got so much going on as spring approaches!
