Completed For Christmas

For the past week or so it’s been full steam ahead to get our current landscaping project finished by the Christmas holidays. The whole team worked on this job, working on a range of tasks to transform this garden into a functional and beautiful space.

We extended the concrete area to make it large enough to use as a parking space for a motor home. Prep work was done on the main area of the garden, with stone dust laid down for the base of the edging cobbles.

The shed was supplied and built by a local manufacturer of fencing Heritage Fences.

Whilst the edging went down, limestone stepping stones were laid, connecting the decking with the driveway.

Black guttering was added to the edge of the awning, whilst the boys prepared the poly carbonate sheeting for the roof. This will give protection from the rain, which we do tend to get a lot of sometimes!

From this point on the garden suddenly exploded into being, as the lawn was laid and Henham Blend pebbles were added into geometric areas within the design.

A variety of plants were brought in – we included low maintenance shrubs and lots of herbs, which will be great for wildlife and cooking!

Whilst the raised beds and borders were being planted and mulched, the boys cracked on adding the polycarbonate roof. The red brick wall though aesthetically pleasing was a bit dusty, so we clad it in feather edge fencing to compliment the rest of the fencing in the garden.

Once the roof was up the finishing touches took place. Stefan dug a hole to add a whirligig, and Jerry added a lock to the new garden gate. The pergola next to the shed really works well and gives a good focal point from the decking area, as well as making a nice walkway through to the drive.

It was very exciting seeing the final stages of this garden come together. Kelly from KC Electrical installed the lighting, which will look beautiful at night.

Our customer is very pleased with it as are we. It’s great giving the gift of gardens to people, especially just before Christmas. To see how this garden looked before we started have a look on our earlier post here.

We’ve got lots of landscaping projects in the New Year, come back then to see what we’re up to. Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas!
