Composite Decking with Trellis

This family wanted their garden to be more functional so that they can sit out and enjoy it during their spare time.

It’s a fairly shady garden, and when we began it was a patchy lawn with shrubs around the edge.

Whilst the boys got to work taking out the shrubs they also removed some of the paving. The paving slabs were put to one side to use towards the end of the project. Once the shrubs had been removed the whole area was covered in membrane to kill off the grass, where the new composite decked area would be.

Team Glen started constructing the timber frame for the decking that would cover this whole section of the garden.

Our customer can now walk straight out of their patio doors, up one step and onto the decking.

Along with the shrubs a couple of trees were also removed and the level of the soil was altered so that it would work with the existing paving and new decking.

Trellis is such a good product for garden design. It gives added privacy, and allows light and air to travel through and around it. You can grow a variety of plants up it. Here we used Anglo Trellis with a 2 inch square.
