Whilst the decking was being constructed George and Will were laying a third patio, the smallest of the three in the garden. One to house a swinging seat on. This one carries on the theme of the yellow limestone.
Dan constructed the composite decked area, and then started working on an edged, gravel area to step down on to.
Dan carefully added the edges to the decking to make sure it was perfectly in line.
The sweeping curve of the gravel area joins together the top section of the garden, and draws the eye along the curving pathway, down to the large yellow limestone patio area at the bottom of the garden.
The gravel area had membrane added and then 14mm clean limestone added on top. A decked step will be added shortly too.
Once the smallest patio area was created, the boys started laying out the stepping stones. We pointed the edging of the gravel area at the same time.
The last stages of this garden design project, are to scalp the lawn and lay a new one, along with planting up the raised beds and new borders. Check back in with us soon to see completed photos of this garden.
