Winter: A New Driveway Project

We landscaped the back garden of this property in Bishopston a couple of weeks ago, and have been getting to grips with the front garden this week, transforming it into a driveway.

As you can see from the above photo, the front garden had a small amount of grass, with a concrete pathway up to the front door and a few shrubs on the edge by the wall.

The concrete was smashed up and the turf and shrubs were removed. The Cordyline was kept in situ. We brought in a grab from Earthworks UK to remove the unwanted hardcore and soil.

Jerry, Sam and Jess worked on the driveway during sleet, snow and very cold temperatures.

Along with deliveries from Bowland Stone, we brought in aggregates for compacting as the base layer, and took away more soil to the recycling centre.

Sam cut the edge to make it nice and clean for adding in drainage channels near the front of the driveway. This project is coming along well and we’re looking forward to updating you about this one next week. Check back in then…
