Urban Garden Limestone Patio

This garden, in the heart of Kingswood, on the outer edge of Bristol needed a new durable patio area where the family could get together. Prior to this it was covered in slate chippings that were spilling all over the space, making it messy and difficult to look after.

A thick layer of ballast was wacked down to create a solid base for the slabs.

Along with the new patio, a new drain cover was also installed, making it easier to access in the future.

Although this summer has been a bit sparse of full sunshine, this particular couple of weeks working on this job was lovely and sunny. Perfect for landscaping.

Where possible we try to use materials already in situ, so that less has to be transported as waste. So we kept some of the chippings and used them at either end of the garden. There is now much less than before, making them more manageable. It’s also far easier getting to the greenhouse and to the back patio doors via the paving.

Our customer, Bethan of Bristol’s B Celebrated, can now enjoy her garden whilst she is busy planning ceremonies, events and special occasions. It’s always lovely having your own little haven, somewhere to kick back, relax and ponder on new plans and ideas for the future!
