Tiered Garden Design in Windmill Hill

For the past week or so the team have been working on a challenging project in the Windmill Hill area of Bristol. It is demanding due to access and the high levels of the garden.

For the first move on this project, our team worked hard to remove a large amount of concrete and old decking from the garden; up non existent steps and down a narrow pathway to the road.

Winter has been rapidly approaching during the start of this job, with low winter sunshine in the morning and afternoon, and with cold temperatures, sleet and snow last week.

 This garden hasn’t been very functional or safe for the young family that live here. We will be adding new paving and steps, which will make this garden easier to traverse around. We brought in a load of concrete blocks for the boys to build up the retaining wall around the edge of the new patio area, and will be bringing in the paving next week.

It’s been good to see this garden starting to take shape. The tiers of the garden give it character, and having a seating area up above the velux windows it pretty cool. A new fence will certainly bring it together. Come back next week to see how it’s looking…
