The timber frame for the decking was constructed over the existing old, brick patio, that was underneath and extending from the garden room. Further down, at the bottom of the garden George was digging out for the retaining walled, raised border levels, whilst Glenn was laying the bricks.
We used reclaimed bricks from Matching Brick for the walls. These were cleaned up before laying.
Each level was carefully checked whilst the walls were being constructed.
The reclaimed bricks are a cost effective option, and also match the look of the garden wall.
Also this week, Jerry has had his daughter Jess working alongside him. They’ve enjoyed constructing the decking and timber storage area together.
