We enjoyed working on this steep garden project, creating decking with storage underneath, a new lawn, reclaimed slab patio, and a three tiered, raised border out of reclaimed brick. If you’d like to see how this garden started off you can view our first post on it here.
It’s always great when a garden design is finished, and you can barely remember what it was like before, as there has been such a transformation. Looking back on these ‘before’ photos gives our team a satisfied feeling that this has been a job well done.
Reusing materials is such a good idea, not only is it a cost effective option, but it also deters a lot of waste from being transported to waste management sites, and there is less energy involved compared to buying newly constructed materials.
Our gardener customer bought and planted the plants. We can already imagine how it will look when these plants are filling out these borders.
Recycled materials also give a unique touch to your garden’s design. Here you can see that the reclaimed bricks match the rest of the garden and are in keeping with it.
The storage cupboards under the decked area are a great idea. You might as well utilise the space if you can.
These red reclaimed patio tiles work perfectly with the brick walkways and give good contrast to the decking.
If you’d like to see our team constructing the decking, look at another of our previous posts here.
Come back next time to see what else we’ve been up to…
