If you saw our post about this garden last week (click here), you will know that the boys had been laying the new porcelain patio in the top half of the space. Following on from that, they have proceeded further down the garden, creating the right ground level, whilst building a low, reclaimed, red brick edge to run as a border around the existing trees. Some stumps were removed, with all the waste going out through the house.

Dan and Will created a small concrete base, using timber shuttering, at the end of the new patio, to lengthen the area. So, that two metal bike stores, that were already in situ would fit.

The bike stores were then moved into position, next to each other, once the base had set.

Whilst Will worked on laying the red brick edge, Flo and Dan cleaned up the reclaimed bricks. They made sure to remove old concrete and soil, using a super tool that brushes and gouges out dried on materials.

Dan also continued to create the level for the rest of the garden. Turf will be arriving tomorrow, which will be the final part of this landscaping project, along with the plants for the raised beds.

We really enjoy seeing our projects coming to fruition, it is so satisfying walking into a newly landscaped garden filled with beautiful elements. Come back soon to see what we’re up to next.
