The new retaining, red brick wall with yellow limestone coping stone top is now finished, and gives not only important, structural support to this new, garden design; it also gives more interest to the space, allowing your eye to follow it around the space.

The yellow coping stone top of the retaining wall matches the new patio, with stepping stones added too.

We brought in 10 tonnes of soil to aid planting and to create the new level of the garden. If you’d like to see how this garden started out before the transformation, click here.

The lower patio seating area by the back of the house is taking shape, with a new set of steps added in matching yellow limestone, and coping stones going around the top of the wall towards the bench.

The new coping stones around the wooden bench, which was already in situ, make a feature of it, along with two new square planters.

The plants will be sourced and added next week. There is a large area to plant with a drift style planting design. Come back soon to see how it looks…
