A huge pile of narrow pavers were to be used to top off the steps in two places in the garden, and similar looking bricks to be used to create low walls. Laying the pavers on steps is a time consuming job, but gives a beautiful effect and is well worth the effort to give a garden pattern and style.
Glen got to work building walls whilst we brought 7 tonnes of MOT Type 1 sub base for the patio and for the area where you walk into the garden, which will be paved next.
Joey worked out the patio dimensions, incorporating concrete blocks around the patio perimeter as the garden naturally slopes so we had to raise up this area.
Once the base was ready the boys started laying the paving slabs, and Glen carried on working with the pavers on the steps.
This garden looks out onto a hill opposite with allotments and will be so good for the family to relax and play here once the garden is complete. Come back to us next time to see the finished project!
