The timber screen that now runs around the perimeter of the garden, is a great backdrop to the new hoggin patio at the end of the garden. It has been edged, matching the grey of the porcelain patio by the house.
The last section of the screening was finished, with the tops of the posts being cut away.
Since the porcelain patio was finished last week, the team have been rendering the retaining walls, and installing posts to act as the uprights for the balustrade that will go around the patio area.
We’ve continued to have fairly cold weather, which has made the ground pretty muddy. An area was marked out for the line of Cemento grey porcelain stepping stones, and was started to be cut away.
Once the stepping stones were laid, the garden really took on a new form, with the connection between the different areas of the garden being more defined.
Once the balustrade has been completed with wires fitted, the last stage is turfing the new lawn, and planting the raised beds. We can’t wait to see this garden in all it’s new glory very soon. Come back next week to see completed photos of this garden. If you’d like to see how this project started out, click here.
