There’s been a big change on site since our last post about this job, have a look here to see how it started out if you missed it. A whole load of sandstone coping stones have been brought in to lay as the main body of the driveway, as they are durable and cost effective.

The matching sandstone setts that run down the dividing line between each property look really smart, and are an interesting feature to the driveway.

The setts have also been laid inside a new drain cover, which will make it easy to access the drainage in the future if necessary.

Along with the sandstone materials, we have also brought in reclaimed red bricks to construct a new stepped area outside the front door of one of the houses, which is higher up the slope than it’s neighbour. These match the appearance of the buildings – new bricks would have looked out of place.

The sandstone slabs work well combined with the red bricks, and will give an impressive overall appearance when finished. Check back in with us soon to see how this driveway project is going…
