Root balled Buxus were delivered, which we planted as a low, formal hedge after the retaining wall was rendered and painted.
The porcelain paving is bright and looks so stylish. It makes the space appear larger than it is and gives a crisp finish against this late Victorian period property.
The paving looks amazing after the clean up…
The Magnolia stellata on either side of the steps give an airy light feeling in contrast to the sharp lines and symmetry of the garden. I particularly love the Pear trees (Pyrus calleryana ‘Chanticleer’) against the back drop of the timber screening, that we created above the red brick wall. The screening gives a sense of privacy but still allows light and air to flow.
The trees are under lit with spot lights by Kelly from KC Electrical. We’ve been working alongside Kelly for a number of years and he always does a brilliant job.
We are so pleased that this family can enjoy their new garden now that spring has finally sprung. We’re loving working in these dry, warm temperatures. It’s been a long winter! Have a look on the Our Work section of our website to see more photos of this garden.
