The boys started to lay the slabs, which look stunning when wet. They started working from the front edge towards the back door, so that they could access the back door.
Paving was laid, taking care of the edges and drainage areas. Two new recessed drain covers was installed in the middle of the patio, along with paving around a drain underneath an exterior water tap.
Cemento Grey Porcelain tiles are perfect for creating a neutral, modern look. These Italian tiles are fired at lower temperatures for longer, ensuring that the clay cures and hardens a lot slower, making them more durable and very low maintenance.
Along the front edge of the retaining wall a new step has been constructed, along with two timber raised beds on either side.
Down at the bottom of the garden, Jerry got to work removing a mature climber that was unruly and no longer wanted by the customer. It was growing up the WWII bomb shelter. The root had to be removed, as this area will be a new planted border.
A blue chalk line was marked out for the area which will be a hoggin patio. A planted border will also be on the other side of it next to the shed.
