Before we began this job, it was a scruffy, weedy space, that needed a bit of TLC. Our team stepped in to help, first of all by removing the old, broken paving tiles and digging up a small tree that was to be kept.
The boys removed the old gravel and levelled the area in preparation for new yellow limestone paving slabs.
Once the base was prepared, some wooden sleepers were delivered to create a small planter. This will be lovely when it is filled with flowers, colour and life.
The new raised sleeper border was filled in with soil and excess stones and rocks removed. The timber looks good with the warm tones of the paving.
It’s really good to see this little front garden in a functional state. A space that can now be utilised for easy use of recycling boxes, bins and storage, along with an easy planter. Come back next time to see what else we are up to.
