The hedge had become a bit overgrown and the lawn needed some attention. The tenants are keen to have some meadow areas of the lawn for wildlife and pollinators, so we kept a section and mowed a path through it. We could see the desire line cutting through the long grass, where the tenants had been walking across to the bins, so it made sense to cut a clear pathway.

Flo is using a Stihl battery powered hedge cutter. They are light weight with the battery lasting for 2.5 hours of cutting once charged. It made an easy task of this hedge.

A sturdy ladder also makes the job easier and less daunting. We weeded the driveway, but left some Herb Robert that was flowering near to the raised bed, as we figured that the tenants would be keen to leave it for the pollinators. A quick spruce up for this garden that made a difference. We enjoyed this satisfying task. Check back in with us soon to see what else we’re up to.
