The gravel in situ had become dirty over time, and had also become quite weedy. On one side the campanula was taking over. Our customer has lots of this plant in their back garden so they were keen to have this removed from these edges.
We started off by shovelling and scraping down to the stone dust layer below the gravel. Making sure to remove as many weed roots as possible, that tend to grow along the edges, by the walls and pavers.
It was very satisfying clearing out these areas, and preparing them ready for the new gravel. Whilst we worked on these edges we also weeded the block paving leading up to the front door.
We brought in Cotswold Cream gravel that is a decent quality and doesn’t discolour over time too quickly. It really brightens up the driveway, and gives it a nice clean, fresh look. Have a look on our Services page to see other options that we offer.
